Collection: Swimerz Skirted Trolling Lures

Swimerz Skirted Trolling lures are a great all species, all tackle, all weather trolling lure that is basic to use. Big on high speed performance for turning tuna & other predator species, they are good for all positions in the lure spread.

These ‘pusher’ type lures are round in profile when viewed from the front and feature a cupped face and a double-taper profile which produces a strong head shake and a thick bubble trail.

They are fitted with a soft silicon skirt and weigh approximately 95gm, with and overall length of approx. 30cm. The resin head has an inner lead core, is 3.2cm in diameter with a 3.9cm head length, and is fitted with life like 3D eyes. The leader hole has a diameter of 3mm. The lure is rigged with a 1.36mm diameter, 250lb breaking strain, crimped monofilament leader, 170cm long, and terminating in a single size 8/0 Ultra Sharp hook. The design has the advantage of being very easy to use, easy to rig and has great versatility.

The drag of these 'chugger' type surface lures through the water is the same if the lure spins on the leader, as the cup shape at the front of the lure maintains the same water pressure regardless of rotation, which makes the lures very easy to rig and the hooks don’t need to be fixed in position or fiddled about with to get optimal performance.

Most saltwater fishermen like to troll at speeds between 2 and 9 knots. To set the lure at depth while at speed, Swimerz Torpedo Trolling sinkers can be added to the rig, in front of the leader.
