Collection: Hard Body Lures; Top water, Diving, Sinking
The science of hard body lures has intrigued fishers over the ages, with examples of fish attracting devices having been found across civilisations.
The purpose of hard body lures is to appear, to target fish species, as a desirable live fish bait or, for some, a type of insect, baby reptile, or water bird. Fish are also attracted through curiosity and aggression towards an intruder in their domain, with the action of the lure in the water and any related noise the lure produces, encouraging a strikes from interested fish.
The benefit of using hard body lures is that most fish will attack lures. It is common when using hard body lures to see fish following the lure, then getting hooked up. Depending upon the fishing situation different lure designs provide an ability to target specific species, or any species, for that matter.
